Boyfriend got a new car that I can't drive says I have no right to be angry?

So I've been with my boyfriend for about 18 months and moved in with him 6 weeks ago.

He has (had) a mazda cx3, which he reluctantly allowed me to drive if I needed to go somewhere and he didn't need the car and want to come along. So he recently talked about getting something bigger for using at work, and I asked what'll happen to the Mazda and he said he will trade it in because he can get good money for it and I asked him if I can have it and he said I can BUY IT (wtf?) if I like but I said no thanks I can't afford it.

So he buys this big-ass nissan navara, but it's a f-cking manual, which I can't drive as I only have an automatic license and I got really pissed and asked him what he expected me to drive and he said "umm... get your own car?" and I got even more pissed and asked him did he even think about me being able to drive this when he chose it, and he said "well, no, I bought this car for my work use, you being able to drive it wasn't a factor" and we got into a big fight with me telling him he's selfish and he keeps saying he did nothing wrong and I have no right to be angry?

Thoughts?

His only solution was to tell me to either a) upgrade my license and learn to drive a manual or buy my own car, which I can't afford

y'all only been together 18 months so it makes sense why he doesn't want to give you the car. If y'all were together longer I'd have a different opinion on this

He did nothing wrong. Do you really expect to just get a free car? What if a guy was acting like this towards you? You'd really let a guy move in and give him a car? You'd think it's normal if he starts a fight with you for buying a Prius instead of a pickup truck when it's you doing the buying?

He might as well have just given you the Mazda because dealerships don'y really give anyone anything on trade ins. All they do is negotiate a trade in price first, then add that amount into the cost of the newer vehicle so they don't actually pay out anything.

Why would he give you an expensive car? You are JUST a girlfriend. You are not entitled to ANYTHING that he owns.

You are CLEARLY leaving out details here, most likely details that would make you look bad, as you want everyone on your side.

In any case, the car he got is the car he got, you aren't married, he isn't required to seek your approval nor get a car that you can drive.

You should have just bought the Mazda from him, he'd probably have given you a decent price.

So he spent his money on his car and you're pissed because you're cheap, I've seen lent of sub-g note cars that are perfectly fine for runabouts if you want a new car get a credit note and be drowning in it as training for a mortgage
