Was I still wrong to call him a racist name after he cheated with my friend?

My bilingual Colombian boyfriend (now ex boyfriend) cheated with my friend (ex friend) for several months. Obviously that's a break-up. I dumped the friend too.

I admitted to calling him a racist name but I was so angry and hurt that I've wasted time that I didn't care anymore. I don't hate the race. I hated the person that did the wrong. I have no problems with other people, provided they do no serious offense.

But was I still wrong or not?

If someone is trashy or seriously hurts me, I imagine calling them out every single bad word I can think of. If they happen to land on a racist name, ok... oh well.

No, it's fine. It was a 1-on-1 conversation. You were not calling an entire group. Forget about it and move on.

Yes I only insulted him. As for my ex friend, I called her out the C word.
I don't have any problems with other Colombians or immigrants from elsewhere.
