My boyfriend called me a negro … should I stay with him?

I’m living with him and I’m not sure if I should just leave and get an Airbnb for now.
he called me a negro and he’s made comments like “ lighter skin is generally more attractive in the past “
I’m half African and I’m kind of worried because I don’t want to be hurt again or bullied for my race.
he’s apologized but I’m still worried he will do it again. A week ago he said that my father liked saving women from the jungle.
he is American and white, he told me he was sorry and that he is just suffering from white supremacy.
He has said a lot of insensitive things and he’s cool and all plus very affectionate , he gifts me too. I moved all the way to Washington state from DC.

Really you need to understand what's behind the comments.
It may be he's trying to get used to having someone of colour around. And you might forgive him if he's picked up some non pc habits if he's used to a white community and upbringing. You could consider it your job to bring him up to spec (and into the new century).
However, if you consider such comments abusive and reflective of a bigoted under character that you'll not be able to live with, or won't want to, then you might need to move on and leave his self perceived superior attitude to someone else.

Negro means "black" in Portuguese. Would you get offended if you would be called Black? Don't confuse the words "negro" and "n**" because the second one is very offensive and racist, but the first isn't. There are geographic names like Rio Negro and Negro Occidental.
If you feel insulted just ask him not to call you like that. If he would continue then you may think about moving out
