I am dating my guy for about 6 months now and he has been great and respectful, he treats me like a lady. we have been open with each other about "race" issue from the start. We make jokes and talk about racial stereotypes all the time and we were still cool. even when I am to meet his family, I said I am black will they be OK with that, and he said yea they are fine and they are cool people. He has dated all races and was even engaged to his previous black girlfriend so I never seen this as an issue
lately, he has been saying a lot of weird sh*t, I say nothing to him I just allow him to talk and observe. I have more Indian features than black even though I am a black girl. I have no booty and I was laughing about it, because I look like an Indian girl. except the hair (hehe) and my boyfriend was like, lucky you. I was like hmmm ok.. The next thing, he goes off on making racist statements not only about blacks but about Jews as well, so I am thinking wtf Adolf? another instance is when I had two Asian clients and the Asian lady was like, wow you are very very pretty and I said thank you, anyway when I told him he said, that the lady was just being polite because Asians do not find black people attractive. I ignore because I know frankly that lots of people do not find blacks attractive and I am OK with that, so its like MEH really
last night now he started talking about "immigrants" and how immigrants are simple minded, and he even said, "i am not racist but", he has been using that line a lot lately
anyway he went on saying about black people saying "black power" and blacks being racist etc, so I decided to stop him there and ask him if I am like that and he was like, no cause your not stupid but most black people focus on race
omg I could go on for days, there has been so much over the past week. Maybe it is my fault, because I am not very hyper sensitive about racial issues, so it has always been a case where he can speak his mind with me and I do the same with him but lately he has been using black slangs that I don't even use. and last night he was playing this song link I was like, I do not listen to such things, please turn it off and he was like sorry about the and word babe but its not a bad song. oh yea and he uses the "you people" line a lot these days.
