Honestly I don’t think I could bring myself to just go, I’d try to convince them otherwise as I’d probably be distraught especially if I truly loved them I’d want to spend every minute I have left with them. I know it’d be a bit selfish but once people are gone they’re gone, they don’t come back and they always linger in your mind. So I’d want to at least try to be by their side unless that is truly what they wanted after me trying in which case I’d have no choice but to respect their wishes even if it’d kill me emotionally.

This is the worst question I have seen. I don;t know what I would do. I was in the hospital for a month and I did not want people to see me with all the tubes sticking out of me. I told them not to visit but I was always glad when they did.

Is that for me or them? I try to respect a partner's wish but I think they'd have to pull all the stops for this one to work.

If I genuinely believe it is entirely because that is what they want and not some notion of sparing me, aye. I'd do it although it'd hurt and go against who and what I am.
