I’m having trouble understanding the logic of this question. How would the amount of time someone had left to live have any bearing on their feelings for you? Those are two separate things. So I guess I’d say no. I would not respect it because time frames don’t cause people to fall out of love with someone.

It’s called selfishness , which sadly a lot of people in this world are selfish people that only truly care about what is best for themselves without factoring in their partners’ feelings , so the best thing to do is let them go and realize you deserve someone that loves you the same way you love them

I mean, yeah, I’d definitely let them go if that’s what they wanted but I would not respect them for it. If I only had a certain amount of time to live, I’d want to be closest with the people I love. Not turn my back on them and turn them away. Plus, if they turn you away that means they must not have really loved you very much and were with you for the wrong reasons. Which, again, I don’t respect.

I wouldn't automatically assume she didn't love you. It's possible she wants to spare you the pain of her decline.

But assuming you're correct and she doesn't love you anymore, you might want to tell her friends to talk to her. Npt for your sake but for hers. Because she's not likely to find what she wants in her final days. I was on a dating app once and saw this woman that had terminal cancer searching for a partner, it broke my heart for her.

Yea that’s crazy, when I was in my early 20’s , I hooked up with an older girl at the club and took her home and had sex , I was 22 years old and she was 36, after we had sex , she told me the truth that she is dying from cancer and that she is married
But already in process of leaving her husband , I was like WTF , she proved it to me that she was leaving him by showing me videos she took of him , harassing her and begging for her back , the husband did look like a weirdo , so I remained friends with her but told her I do t want to be caught in the middle of her marriage, she would randomly show up at my place convincing me to have sex with her , so I did, but it didn’t really sit well with me because of her situation with her husband. She swore they are no more and that she wants me. This went on for about a year until she ended up back in the hospital and then passed away. Come to find out her husband loved her and didn’t want to lose her , she was the selfish one
