Guys, thoughts?

I have been dating this guy for almost a year... I have kids, he does not. He knew this before we started dating and shared how he felt about it shortly after, but decided to continue with everything. Before he decided to make things official between us, he had shared that he didn't see a future with me due to me already having kids but then he ended up falling in love with me and has never brought it up again since. We have an amazing relationship and are best friends, not just lovers. We do everything together and are inseparable. He always says things like, "This is it for me, you've got me locked in." "I can't imagine life without you." etc. and he's introduced me to his family and friends. We spend quite a lot of time with his family! I still but can't help but think of the time he told me he couldn't see a future with me. Could that have possibly changed or is he keeping me around until he finds someone he could see a future with? Obviously that is something I should be able to ask him, but I don't want to be THAT girlfriend and make him feel pressured.

You thought through it just like a guy thinks. One of these time will tell. As a boy with strongly opinionated Mom, there’s some processing time from meetings with Family.
I have to think that Mom is deciding opinion. If so, that lust front end may be absent BUT that may be good…mature decision. It also could not be good ⁉️

You should be that girlfriend and talk to him about it. This is a serious issue that greatly affects your future. Being played and wasting time is too much risk to just let things lie. If he really cares about you it won’t be too much hassle discussing it.

I personally think he changed his mind.. he was honest about it at the beginning but things have changed for him. I hope everything works out for the both of you.
