different life styles come with different expectations
just a few miles from where I am right now, that kind of income is pretty much the base, lol
I'm not sure if that's legitimate or not, but I do know women want men to make at least $70,000 a year, which is still not a low amount whatsoever. Then again, woman of today are so damn entitled and narcissitic, I could believe this might actually be accurate.
$400,000 a year, but the way, is the minimum amount needed to be in the top 1% of earners in the entire First World economy. Anyone who makes that much is officially considered rich/upper class.
Nah son, it shifted to about 100k/year. Some girls will make an exception for 65k/year if the guy is good looking but they will expect him to improve.

This is why most polls are unreliable. They ask daft or leading questions that are either bullshit or try and quantify a bias the pollster already holds.
Few women bring enough to the table to pickup a 400k+ man. But I know plenty of women who make over 200k. The poll might actually be referring to household income.
In other words, "women want a man who earns as much as them". Which is not as sensational a headline.
Well, let's just say the odds of the typical female finding a man that has an income of much over $80,000 are a bit rough. $400,000 it can happen I guess. Here's the thing though. I know several men that make $400,000+ a year, and every one of them is in fact married. They are also married to women that signed IRONCLAD prenups. So I suspect these women are either going to lead lonely lives or settle. "Settling" is an entirely different subject in a much different book!

If that guy was making 400k and had a degree that was more prestigious than theirs they be happy, If the guy made the same money but from a manual trade they would not give him the time of day and would think they are ‘dating down’, even though there are probably more guys in a manual trade making that sort of money that one with degrees.

@Lookingforthetruth It appears that the 'social status aspect' is the only thing they are concerned about, having worked with some of these degree 'educated' women, I've found them to be as dumb as a box of rocks, there is no flexibility in their thinking, and I've had to explain tasks they needed to do in the simplest terms possible, and informed HR of their deficits before they had a chance to complain that they were doing menial jobs.
No pointing that too seriously - they can make their demands all they want. If you would wanna date that kind of man who has already EVERYTHING. My question is what those women have to offer to the man?

Dude if you make over a 100k a year you are golden. 400k is excessive, plus over 100k you can pretty much afford whatever you need to to please a woman.
So far I'm just over $100k and that's with a ton of overtime. I'm able to keep up and pay off things, but no savings yet.
Early 2000s reality shows have given women more unrealistic expectations than Barbie ever did. Sensible women would prefer a defensible prepper homestead to a McMansion anyway. Anyone idolizing the Kardashians is a lost soul.
Only 14% of the US population makes over $100K. So, it is very out of touch to have that standard for a man to make $400K.

I once knew a man that made $120k per year and he went through 4 divorces because the girls would always find someone who made more money than him. He was explaining to me how I should learn to make money if I want a relationship in the modern world.
