Let it go? What, is the sex so good you would even consider that? Try to look at it outside yourself.

Imagine it's just a business partner and they "cheated" you by spending the company's business debit card on a strip club. Are you really gonna just let that go? What does that entail for the future? Is it really wise to remain partly responsible for the irresponsibility of this business partner?

And if you do let it go, you've just said that this behavior is acceptable even if you verbally detest it. Also, think about why he bothered to tell you... I know I'm not the only one that knows more than a handful of chicks that cheated just to break up, which was the point of cheating. So you have a dude that's probably trying to get you to leave him, but doesn't want it to look like it was just his loss of real interest in you, and a dude that has proven he will cheat on you. If you let it go... you'll just get to revisit the issue in a matter of time... over and over again until you do put a stop to it.

I think it depends on how I feel about him at the moment he confesses that bs

If I still really like him or felt in love, I would try to stay for MY sake as to not feel so awful but I would accept it that this is no longer my place nor my partner (without telling him that) feeling and emotions been butchered and since I still feel love or strong like toward this person then I need to replace it with other hugs so I'd try to find someone else, as soon as I found someone, I'd give him the boot. He does not deserve me 100%.

the other option is:
If when he confesses, I don't feel anything strong for him anymore, then I have absolutely no strong sadness to be alone and I'd hand him his single card and thanks for making it easy. bye.
