Is there any way I can help him?

My best friend liked one guy for a long time (for 2years). I know him from times when we were younger (8years ago). After like year she liked him we started meeting very often at parties etc. Me and him quickly started talking again cuz we were friends in past, he is 4years older than us so there was a distance, he went to high school, no place to meet you know what i mean. She was always around. They became friends aswell. Me and her we told to his friends that she likes him and they told him. He played it cool and didn’t take it seriously. Seeing eac other more often they never talked much, it was mostly innocent hi. She was shy around him and he probably didn’t know how to handle she is crushing on him so he was a bit shy aswell. He never texted and we thought he ain’t interested. She was often sad cuz she thought he is not into her and doesn’t give her much attention but she kept like him. But then things changed. He started giving more attention and they got closer. They always kissed (peck) and hugged when they met. Everyone thought they are dating. We were waiting to him to ask her out but nothing. We were confused so i went to him and ask him what’s up. He said he wants to ask her out for some time but he was just busy with graduation and that he didn’t find right time for them to be alone. Then he asked her out and she said yes. Before they went out they kissed more romantically few times. They were so cute together. She is really hot and she is kind of a girl who can have every guy she wants and she finds other boys attractive too. She was starting changing her mind and let him go. Then they went out and she decided to let him go. I was so confused of her. He is really hurt. I think he’s right guy for her. I really like him as a friend. He is cool, funny, nice, always smiling and right for her. I wanted them to be together. Now he always look very sad and just drinks with his friends. I really feel sorry for him. I think he lost a lot of confidence etc.
