Her wording was less than ideal. "Why" tends to put people on the defensive. Maybe she wanted to know what you see in her that keeps you coming back. She may have needed some reassurance of her uniqueness to you. It may also have been her insecurities speaking. You can share what makes her unique and special to you, but more importantly reach out to show her you care about her thoughts and feelings and would prefer seeing her request through her eyes rather than make any assumptions.
