They used to, but most college students today aren't even looking. Feminists starting in my generation (Gen X) started pushing women to put off serious relationships until after 30, focusing instead on college, career, and partying, and so as the years went by, guys have mostly given up on finding a wife in college (and in many cases, at all), because if you are going to have a family, you need to do it when you are still young.

Biology isn't nearly as easy to change.

This is less true today I think since people tend to get married later. But if you DO get married early then yeah--it'd very likely be to someone you met in university. It really depends on your situation and your life goals, but I suspect the dynamics of society and university today makes marriage to someone you met in college less likely than it was 40 years ago, say.

Preface this is biased as my friend group is mostly from my university years and its not that long ago.

Four people meaning two couples, that are now engaded and planning to get married, met during university years. Not IN university though. I met my fiance in a bar and my best friend met her fiancee during an outside activity.

We both were yes Different subjects but yes. We never would have met on the campus by accident.

Yes same university. But the university is seperated into at least 4 different parts of the city. He was always in a different part than I was.

One or two generations ago, yes. College was a great place to meet people. You'll never have such a high concentration of eligible, similarly aged people again in your adult life. Folks used to capitalize on this huge dating pool.

Nowadays, lots of people waste that opportunity on hooking up and screwing around. Or, they're hyper focused on their education.

These reasons are why I didn't find anyone despite being in university for 11 semesters.

Probably a mixture of university, college, workplaces or shared hobbies. So those places, probably is equal to university dating or those old sayings of "high school sweethearts since high school." 😅

Even you know? I been online dating for years. Its just a dumping ground for people with mentql issues, disrespectful, attention seekers, lacking in basic manners, perverts looking for sex, planning on not showing up for a date and never have the courtesy to cancel on you, crazy war vets with drinking issues, rapists, people who can't hold onto a conversation... The list goes on...

Truth is... you wouldn't go online if you could find someone in real life. Only people who can't grt anyone in real life , would go online
