Girls, Other than feeling lonely, is there any reason to have a relationship with a man?

For me, it was to be able to show my deepest love and receive a deeper love than the one I had with my family.

I would always tell my mom stuff like:

”I need someone mom. I’m always gonna love you, but you have dad, and so and so has so and so. I can’t hug you for half the day if I wanted to. 24 hours if I wanted to. It’d be weird to hold your hand, as long as I wanted to.”

Stuff like that. Sometimes we (well.. I don't know about everyone else, lmao- me 🤣🙋‍♀️), sometimes I just need someone to come home to. One person I can go to instead of feeling my feelings bleed and my heart bleed across a sea of people and knowing the fact: yes, they all care for me, but not all of them would be with me/ unapologetically loyally there for me 24/7, at times of my true weakest moments, and needing assistance or someone to be patient with me, or care for me.

In the animal kingdom: there are prides and packs. I guarantee they last quite longer than solitary animals. Meerkats always have someone watching and on guard. Lionesses always have their members helping them take down the largest of prey. Wolves working together, as killer whales and dolphins to take on tasks bigger than they.

Sometimes pairs last longer, as well. Having a mate for life is having someone to help carry the burdens of life. like that of the emperor penguin. No.. not everyone needs that, and it’s certainly no excuse to be weak, but if used right and worked together, it helps and can help a great deal.

It depends on where a person draws their strength from.

I know a 100%!!! I can be strong and independent without someone, but how I’ve grown up.. that was all I wanted, and even now experiencing strength, I still wish to fall weak in someone’s arms and feel the ability to unwind and be seen by someone who will care and now sabotage me in that state, but…

To reproduce... jk lol... I just love having someone to connect with in a way deeper than with anyone else, to have that companionship, to give and take care of him and just I don't know build a life together. I think this is an innate desire in every human.

Sharing what I have. Experiencing love. Taking care of someone and having someone taking care of you. I live a very comfortable life so what's the point to have all this if I can't share it with anyone else?
