This is something I've noticed in most conversations online and in real life, as well. Most people tend to speak negatively about their exes and former classmates from school. I doubt all these people are actually bad, so what's this explanation for this phenomenon?
The person talking shit is fucked up in the head. Normal people don't do that. Yeah me and my exgfs had issues and some of them did some things wrong,... I have nothing bad to say about them really.
1. Idgaf to even talk about them. 2. I'm classy and don't air dirty laundry and 3. I don't date trash pos so I mean sure things could of done better but they all have and or would make great wives for men out there, just not me.
These people talking shit can't say those 3 statements I just did meaning they 1. Care still 2. No class 3. Dated pos because they are losers.

Those are gossipers who still haven't grown up and are so cowardly not only to speak badly of someone but to do so behind their back.
Avoid them or if you so have the pair, tell the gossiper right to their face "would you like it if I went around telling everyone how much of an insecure, immature shithead you are"?
People who don’t listen, and or communicate well tend to end things badly.

Usually, it has to do with some sort of rejection felt from some time in their interactions. It is often long ago and petty.

bad experiences...
that is the tendency... those who had good experiences, speak positively about it
those who had bad experiences, speak negatively about them

Because when most relationships fall apart they don't do so pleasantly
Probably because of a bad breakup or being bullied. I still have bad memories.
All of my exes have been great women. We just didn't click long term on the romance level. And my classmates are still in my circle of friends.
Because people focus on the negative, you rarely hear people positively talk about it.
