First off, it’s not a joke. Second, he’s showing early signs of abuse. He’s saying that to make you feel like bad about yourself and no one else would love you if you leave him. Which is not true and I think you should leave him before things get worse.
Bite the bullet, cut him off now. He is not sorry and will pull that shit again and worse. If he had apologized maybe there was a chance he'd stop, but "it was a joke"? He wants to be toxic. He ain't gonna change. Better to be alone than with someone who treats you like shit.
That is called manipulation 101. Its an attempt to break you down while simultaneously binding you to him. It steals your self confidence, makes you believe your are lucky to receive the small portions of love he is willing to condescend to give you.
I agree with @Grond21. To be honest, a person that jokingly tells you you're worthless is totally worthless as a partner. He is hedging his bets you'll never leave because of the insecurity he's inciting in you. If I were you, I'd leave. You can do much better, sweetie. You don't deserve that. Nobody does.
He is gaslighting is wasn't a joke he meant it because his fragile ego was hurt when he says nobody wants you counter him by saying that i know i have triggered you really bad i have this much control over you that you now say funny things just to put me down hahah make fun of him and what he said
That's the sort of thing you say about YOURSELF to your girlfriend as a joke, as in "no one else would want me, so I guess you're stuck with me". It's a dumb thing to say to your girlfriend and then have to backtrack saying "I was kidding, honey!"

I don't know, I don't read about psychology and stuff; but to me, even if it was "just a joke" it could be a way of expressing his insecurities. I'm not saying he has bad intentions in mind when saying stuff like that, to me that sounds manipulative, shows insecurity in the way that maybe he feels less than other guys, and that phrase could be a way of trying to keep you as if he could lose you in anytime. I don't know, I'm just sharing my thoughts on that.

You pull his pants down and yours.
Josie: Fred, you have one of those, and I have one of these. I don't know if it's true or not, but my sister told me that if I have one of these, I can get thousands of those.
I think I just might want to find out if she's right. I'll let you know.
First off, joke or not, that is not something you say to your SO. I’m sorry he said that. How long have you two been together? In response to hun I’d tell him how awful him saying that made you feel and be open and honest about it. Even if it truly was a joke he should apologize and hopefully realize that was a really shitty thing to say.
If the behavior continues, Move on….. listening to those comments over time has the potential to lower your confidence or self esteem.
Ultimately, those type of comments are used for control….. generally by people that feel inferior / not worthy of the person they are with / or have low self confidence themselves.
That is not a joke, it is controlling behavior. It starts out as a joke and over time you hear it so much you start to believe it and then he has you. And that is all he has to say to get whatever it is he wants from you, because he is the only one who wants you... Bull Shit... You are better than that. Leave his ass and show him you are stronger than he thinks...
He doesn’t love you He’s wasting your time Break up with him He’s manipulating you mentally “no one else would want you” he’s basically ensuring that you stick around so he can continue tricking you by making you think that he’s your only choice
lol looks like he’s projecting his insecurities. He’s saying that to make you not leave him cuz according to him “no one else will want you”. But if you could get him, you could get many many more guys.
Love the name thats my daughters name, just tell him... and your gods gift to wemen. So many people there that would die for a chance to treat you right

That's a nasty thing for a partner to say and isn't a joke in my opinion. Seems to me that your boyfriend is very insecure and that spells 🚩🚩🚩🚩flags.
Get out of the relationship while you can because it's clear that he doesn't appreciate what he's got.

This is what abusers say to keep their victims from leaving.
Don't say anything, leave him and block him on everything. SHOW him that someone else will want you by moving on.
Damn I'm sorry. Break up, you deserve someone who literally thinks ur a god
He doesn’t love you
He’s wasting your time
Break up with him

"Byeeeee!"
Seriously. Leave him. Joke or no joke, he can fuck right outta here with that.
That's abusive. You should say "I think you are wrong, and it's you who won't be able to find anyone. We'll find out,, because I'm done with you ""
"Bet?" And then leave the relationship and find someone better, cause there are definitely some better than him lol
"What should I say back to him?"
"And I don't want you. I'm breaking up with you now."
If he says he was joking you tell him you were joking too. See how he feels.
