Is it ok for my Girlfriend to have dinner with a male friend? (Page 2)

So here's the deal. I have been living with my girlfriend for over a year now and she has gone home to her family for the holidays, in a different country. I had to work so I am here.  The other night she met up with an old friend that she hasn't seen in over 7 years. She told me they were having dinner so I figured they might be out for an hour or two. 6 hours went by and while she was sending me the odd text my mind started turning on me. When she did eventually get home and called me, she said they had dinner and then drinks afterwards. She was a little bit typsy but I kept calm and just talked to her normally. The thing that kept making me paranoid was a comment she told me before that he was into her going back years ago. I am not happy that he went out drinking with her and payed for the meal as well. Am I over thinking this or is this normal behaviour?

Why not, though it is a tricky question. People should turn toward their partner instead of anyone else. If she can have a say in who you can hangout with why can't you?

It’s probably not a big deal. I would worry, if you expressed concern and she shut you down or insulted you for having a concern. I would never put my partner in a situation where she expressed concern and I just didn’t care.
