I believe cheaters are in most cases opportunists who get done kind of sick thrill of going behind their partner's back. Someone who can look you in the face, say they love you, and be messing around behind your back have deep issues. The reason a lot of people who cheat stop cheating is because they've run out of options, and at heart I do think that once a cheater always a cheater, whether or not it physically cheating or emotionally cheating doesn't matter. This includes the psychotic "defensive cheater" that claims they only cheated because their partner did. If you are cheated on save your dignity and just walk away. Revenge does not justify sinking to a cheaters level.
Nope, I believe people can change, but it's understandable not to want to trust them again.
I think that if someone has gotten away with cheating in the past, they might be more likely to cheat in the future. But keep in mind that there are also consensual relationships where it is understood that either each party, or at least one party has freedom to see other people. These shouldn't be put in the same basket as someone who is actually breaking a trust.
Depends on the individual. If they actually felt a lot of guilt and remorse for their actions, and learnt a valuable lesson not to play with peoples hearts, then I don’t think they’ll always be a cheater. But if they felt no remorse and didn’t regret their actions, and had the attitude of “whatever, it’s not my problem”, then they’ll always be a cheater.

Nah people can change
If a girl cheats, she's a slut who'll cheat forever. If the guy cheats, he'll do it only once
