Why would a person I'm dating get flowers for me and everyone else in his workspace?

He got flowers for his best friends wife and everyone in the office. When I shared how upsetting that was, he was saying he wants to make everyone feel good. Even if this is a first relationship he's been in, like really? Even a close relative told him that's not nice

He's either an overly kind guy or manipulating everyone

I used to work with a guy who was a narcissit , and he would be very generous to people, but only to get them on his side.

When he was against someone, for his own delusional reasons, he'd start the 'smear campaign' about them. So his kindness was a manipulation tactic. Most people were taken in by his lies about others because of his kind gestures.

I think it's mostly overly kind not the latter because he isn't manipulative. It's just annoying sometimes lol
