Since the guy I’m dating went to a funeral I haven’t heard from him yet am I being insensitive?

this guy I’ve only been seeing for 1 week it’s not exclusive and very very early. It was his best friends funeral yesterday. He hasn’t really been online on anything he’s only posted a video of the funeral. He was telling me how sad he was about it the other night. Am I being insensitive for expecting a message like good morning how he usually does? I’ve never been in that position before so I don’t really know how it feels to be in that situation.

Oh my gosh just chill. He just lost someone he cares about. Why are you stalking him. Your being to clingy and that a huge turn off. Instead of thinking that he is cheating, how about you start to live your life. Do things for you. When he does contact you then be there to support him. A lot of guys don't like for women to see them when they are sad so support his feelings. Stop with the what if questions. Stop stalking him on social media. Stop Stop Stop. Just leave it as that. Give him time to recover from a loss. If he doesn't bring it up, then just go with the flow and act like if nothing happened. Don't pressure him to show this emotion, especially if your relationship is new. Tread lightly.

Insensitive? More like clueless. Imagine that your mother died yesterday. Would you be concerned about texting someone you just met? It was ONE DATE. If he's smart there won't be another.

Assuming that you told him that you're there for him if he needs to share or something. Give him some time. He just lost his best friends. He needs time to process things. He needs some time to deal with the loss and grief. Keep yourself busy. He'll talk to you when he's ready. He'll appreciate it.

Losing a friend, let alone a best friend is extremely hard. It’ll take a while for him to be back to his usual self. Let him know you’re there for him if he wants to talk but no pressure to do so, give him space so that he can grieve.

I would give him at least a week (from the day of the funeral) break to contact you. And keep in mind grief can take months to get through even the initial stages. I learned “minimum average” for someone close is three months.
