Nope. My best friend throughout highschool and university betrayed my trust.

In our 3rd year of university, we went out drinking but he got too wasted and got himself kicked out. We left the bar together, but on the walk back he revealed to me that he was jealous of my looks/and kindness and that he actively sabotaged my relationships with friends to make himself look better. I had no friends left, everyone else stopped texting me, ignored my presence etc and I never knew why until this moment.

Additionally, there was a girl I was friends with for 3 and caught mad feelings for. One night at the pub, she told me she likes me and wants to date. My friend also told me he also started harassing her, and telling lies about me after that night out of jealousy, and it's why she stopped talking to me entirely. She blocked my number, I can only imagine what was being said..

The next day I asked him about what he said and that we can work it out, but he said he doesn't remember anything he said with a smug look on his face. Never talked to him again..

I used to think I had friends, they always treated me like shit but because everyone family included treated me that way I thought it was just how people treated others, I never liked it and always treated people I wish I was treated. But I kept going back and trying to be their friend. I only found out after I started seeing a psychiatrist that it's not how people are supposed to treat each other.

Im commited to doing whats right for some one else. If they wanna be dicks in return, that says more about them than it does about me.

Not unless they owned their mistake or behavior. I don't maintain relationships of any kind with people you gaslight me (act like nothing ever happened/ pretending what they did didn't hurt me or that my feelings and or response isn't valid or a 'big deal'). Friends are a privilege, loyal friends are a gift.

If someone wronged me they lose all of my respect and I will push them as far away as humanly possible to ensure I will never have to deal with them again knowing if they come my way again I’d cause them harm
