Girlfriend with trauma not sure what she wants?

So my girlfriend has past trauma and has been pulling away from me. Lately she says she's not sure if she wants to continue our relationship, but then quickly takes it back. The last conversation she asked me to continue to invite her out on things but not dates. This is really confusing me.

I mean its not like I'm swimming in options for other women that want to date me. The majority of my dating life has been been almost zero interest from women.

Yeah but why settle for someone that is iffy about you and using her trauma as an excuse to treat you that way?

Have you sought out therapy? There’s a reason you prefer being treated terribly that I think is deeper than you think

Yes I have. It's not that I enjoy or want this treatment. I just have zero other options like before I got into a relationship with her. I had gone on 30 plus first dates and had zero second dates.

Does she have borderline personality disorder? That usually develops from certain traumas, especially in women, and it could be making her struggle to communicate clearly with you and she may be self sabotaging the relationship without meaning to, by saying she’s not sure if she wants to continue the relationship and then taking it back.

My ex did this to me. Eventually broke down and broke up. I don’t know how to help her but she mentioned before she thought she might be bipolar or something…

I don't know if she does or not. She has liltery told me that she thinks I'm amazing and doesn't understand why she's making distance between us.

Have you asked her why she feels like breaking off the relationship?

Yes and at one point she wasn't sure if she could find herself if she was in a relationship.

We have been in a relationship for a year and about 2 months ago her truama had been triggered. She didn't blame it on me but said it was due to me being around.

If she's not ready, then you should talk to her about your feelings are important also and if she keeps pushing you away it's going to eventually work
