How to deal with a girl that had a traumatic relationship?

I like this girl but she just got out of a bad relationship and her past one was traumatic for her. She doesn't communicate that good and at times i feel her actions are child like. What are ways to deal with a girl like this? I know it's not her fault she went through all of this.
