Yeah, I would be frustrated if I was in the men variable of this question.

There’s a lot of emphasis my eye put on the word “think.”

This isn’t always the reality. Try compatibility doesn’t require “killing-yourself-“ efforts

When people say that they don't mean he has to spread a red carpet in front of her feet every time she gets out of the car and buy huge bunches of flowers every weekend. They mean keep putting effort into the relationship. People aren't fair prizes that can sit on a shelf forever afterward. They mean make time for her, don't constantly prioritize game night over her. Put effort in. That doesn't mean being a simp, contrary to what lots of people seem to think. I think so. I suppose i haven’t really put much thought into that specifically. I probably take loyalty for granted in that way. Once i’ve proven myself enough to garner a commitment from a woman, i wouldn’t expect to have to continue to earn that commitment. At least beyond not reneging on my own share of the commitment. I’ve felt that, almost certainly. I expect it’s what compels thoughts and words like, “Nothing is ever enough!”. I’ve just never concluded the thought train until now.

You don't have to try at all. Just be yourself. The ones that like who you are will be willing to deal with you. The ones that don't will get lost. If you have to put on an act, it's just to get some pussy from some girl you'd never want a relationship with anyway. I think people must try in a relationship in general. People think once in you’re in a relationship then you’re on easy mode. Regardless of your gender, you better put in the work to build your relationship or expect it to fall apart one day.

A relationship needs effort and time to flourish. If a woman wants to be there, she'll share the load and you'll work on it together.
