When that happened in my marriage. I didn’t take anything except my clothes.
I left everything there … I took a year to fight because I was mentally disturbed by how my family is broken and marriage broken… what would any possslsisson do for me.
after one year… I realized, I have to be well to care for my kids. I rebuild myself/my life and had to work hard to restructure a new “family” for my kids… it’s been 10 years. We are all doing well.
moneh is not going to give me a peace of mind.. my own strength and well being is more important to have a successful/fulfill life.

It honestly depends, if it cost a lot of money I'm probably keeping it because I'd want to get back at him in some way.

Check the laws where you live. In most states it is a conditional gift and must be either returned of paid for, regardless of who calls of the engagement. In California if the recipient calls it off, or it is called off by mutual consent, or the breakup is caused by the recipient, the ring must be returned.

Nah its cuz they gave it to the woman as a gift so there is no reason to give it back. Also no reason to keep it if the relationship is over
