Stop expecting to be their first choice, there is always someone better or prettier than you, and if you partner had an option he would choose her. But that doesn't mean they are ever an option for him. Whoever you meet is clearly not your first choice either because you have already been rejected by that choice. So you will eventually have to settle or be alone.
