Of course relationships shouldn’t be one sided, but it’s good to show effort if you care. Whats the difference between putting in effort and annoying someone in a relationship? To what extent does it draw the line?

Balancing love and abuse is very difficult, therefore we have to accept sudden changes and "Non-starters". Sometimes people change their minds after some interactions and other times there was only a one-sided affection felt.
In its beginnings, it will be "oh so good". At some point, the expectation and responsibility becomes skewed. If it already feels that way and you are getting distance, look-up long down, and dead to negative vibes then it is time to stop.
If there is not easing of pressure then that quiet vibe will start expressing itself in verbal hurts, passive controls, and picking at your insecurities to either control you or hurt you until you go away.
Good luck with it all...
