Why does love make us do stupid things we normally would not do?

Because if you love someone or care about them, you care about their needs and want to make them happy. Unfortunately, that means sometimes compromising on things you don't want to do or are uncomfortable doing. Just basically sacrificing certain things because it's not just about YOUR needs and wants into consideration when you're in a relationship, marriage or otherwise, it's also about theirs. But I learned the hard way, and thus I'm not sure it's worth it anymore to be honest with you. One time, I took my ex-fiance to the E. R. and I saw some things there that TRAUMATIZED me. His 47-year-old, homeless drug addicted ass thought he had testicular cancer, but it only turned out to be a cyst! I told him that he should just go to the doctor for it but he insisted and had a fit in my car. I stupidly "loved" him enough to sacrifice my comfort and fear, therefore..

What most people today mistaken as love is actually “feeling important” Basically when they were younger they felt invisible or outcast or worse, they were abused. Now instead of looking for someone to share a life with, they are looking to fill the whole in their heart through relationships.

Some behaviors are driven by logic and deliberate reflection, while other behaviors are driven by emotion. If you are normally a controlled, deliberate, carefully-considered person, love can grab you and put you on your ass.
