As in just goes with the flow of what everyone wants and fears doing things that they want to do may make someone not like them because of incompatibility in likes and interests.
Well, if your trying to please others at the expense of yourself that isn’t good. Then you might have regrets. For instance I’ll help people out at work sometimes because like being part of team but if I only do that and never benefit with those same people helping me out of a jam then eventually I’ll resent helping them out.
That’s basically what people pleasing is. Doing things that everyone else wants you to do, at the cost of your own happiness.
We all people please or we would have no people around us to be friends with. They are enjoying their lives in their way.

No. That's a common misconception. Pleasing others is what makes people pleasers the happiest.
