How to get out of the friend zone?

So I've been in a situationship with this girl for the past 6 months, and she lives in the same neighborhood but she's now abroad. So last time she sent me a reel on instagram about "how good of a boy bestfriend I am" and tbh honest I'm not ok with being a bestfriend of a girl that I like.

How can I get out of this friend zone? Because I don't wanna ghost her or do something bad because we have a good relationship before I start to like her and I don't wanna be rude but I just don't want to be a bestfriend of a girl I like and I didn't choose to be her best friend

We went out a lot of times before she left the country and I always pay for the dinner but we stayed in a situationship, there's times we act like couples and other times we are bestfriends

Yes I did over text but she said "I can't give you an answer now, when we meet we will talk about it." But she didn't seem like she's willing to reject me, but we didn't meet after that and we didn't bring the subject back.

I think maybe she wasn't ready I guess because she just got out from a relationship, but I don't think it's because of it, I was the perfect guy, I buy her food, bring her small gifts, whenever she's on periods I buy her chocolate and stuff and she likes all of that but we're not in relationship yet
