Is this a sign of depression?

My best friend is staying in her room since she got divorced and never leaves it. She left her work too to stay with her kids. She works part time job now and rented very small apartment to stay away from her family but I don’t like this. She started to hate men now, love, sex and everything related to it. She has 2 kids 3 and 2 years old and I’m worried about them too. I’ve told her that she needs help but she said she doesn’t. I worry about the kids too for never leaving the house since 7 months. They’re staying like prisoners in their house & now she just turned her phone off.

It is depression. The woman has been hurt really bad. She's lost all trust in men. It would be good for a good friend to go over and sit down and talk with her. Maybe make plans to go out for a short time. Maybe just girls night out only. All you need to do is sit and listen to her. Let her know that there are other people that are there for support. Does she have family nearby? Get them involved.

She does and they offered her to go live with them with her kids but she refused to. I talk to her all the time and she seem fine and laughing all the time but I can see that deep down there’s something but I don’t know what is it and it makes me worried.

She is suffering from depression. If she lives close to you invite her and her children out and you all do something fun. She's shutting the world out of her life right now. If she doesn't get out she's going to get worse

Of course I care. She’s been very good to me since we met and I want to help and be there for her.

Self isolation is her way of reconciling her mind from the divorce? I can't knock that response. You know her best though, is that baseline for her?

I really don’t know much because i met her last year and she became my best friend for how good and trusty she is.
