Is it a sign of depression?

Someone who had like 9 or more pictures of themselves on instagram suddenly archived most of the pictures and only left 2. I don’t remember when was the last time that they had just 2 pictures of them in their page.

I wouldn't say it is a sign of depression. There could be many reasons why this person deteted their pictures. Perhaps they didn't like the old pictures anymore. I also archived most my pictures where I don't have my beard yet.

Best way to find out is ask this person directly if they are okay. And if they need help, to be there for them.

Hmm... that is a bigger sign of a possible depression, but it's still not enough to make any conclusions. What we cab guess with relative certainty is that he isn't having the best of times right now. Dumping someone is never a fun time.

It could be easy thing from his if he lost all feelings. He followed like 10 girls after I removed him from my instagram. Now he’s archived most of his pictures…

Did you and him get into any fight or argument? Oh, and forgive me for asking if it isn't the case: are you the girl he dumped?

Anyway, I do have a gut feeling that he is having a hard time. People can do dumb things when they act in emotion. Depression is a big word so I'm always careful using it, but if he has indeed lost all feelings that would be a massive warning sign.

I have dealt with depressed people in my work, the best thing to do for them is to just be there, not trying to fix anything, just being there.

It may be difficult since you haven't spoken in a while but maybe you could be of some help to him.

Yeah we kinda had an argument or one conversation turned kinda hostile and he was like he doesn’t want to date. Then I removed him from instagram. Couple days later I called him and he said some hurtful things…. Then week later I message (I know it was dump). We had pleasent conversation. Then K teach out again and he left me on delivered for 6 days. I deleted my message at that point. Now it’s been a month since we’ve talked.

I see. That's indeed a difficult situation. If you reached out to him, and he ignores you, there isn't much you can do but to forgive him, pray for him, wish him the best and move on.

I am willing to make the guess that you yourself are still bothered by his (past or present) behaviour? How are you feeling about all this?

I don't think he is depressed, but I do think there is indeed more going on behind the scenes with him and I hope he'll get back on his feet.

He ignored me once and I haven’t contacted him since. I don't know if he’s regretting what he did…

Hmm... perhaps he is regretting it, I don't know. But it would be a big shame if you two wouldn't be able to talk it out properly. There could have been other reasons he hadn't replied yet. Meybe he was planning to and forgot. Maybe he was busy and was going to reply soon. Maybe he saw you deleted your text and that angered, scared or saddened him. Or maybe none of that and he actually ghosted you. You won't know unless you ask.

If I may ask, what do you want from him? If you have a goal you can try and do something to reach it.

I agree that he should take responsibility and that the ball is in his court. 100% but that also means he can choose not to text you. I myself have learnt to not trust others to do the right thing, so I take the initiative myself most of the time.
