False. A relationship in the romantic sense is an exclusive bond between a man and a woman. This bond is different than one of simple affection and loyalty. It's deeper, more vulnerable, and more intimate. It's the kind of connection you don't share with just anyone. A couple doesn't need to have sex in order to build or sustain this connection.

Sex is the life-generating bond between a man and his wife; the objective natural purpose of sex is to procreate. It is deeply intimate both physically and emotionally, but its ultimate end is to generate new life. And that is precisely why, from a secular standpoint, it should be saved for marriage. Marriage is where said new life will be raised in a stable and secure environment.

To claim that a relationship without sex is just a friendship is a very incomplete, incorrect, and immature way to look at both.
