Girlfriend won't go on trips with me?

My girlfriend of a year is always very hesitant to go on any kind of trips with me. Her last excuse was she was afraid that it could cause us to break up. I'm not sure what to do.

Go with another woman, return, and proclaim “you were right.”…. I met a great girl who loves to weekend or weekend plus 1 day travel.

Perhaps, you need to sell it more and tie it to a gift. It would likely be a two gift event as she would be given one over the traveling time. I assume you two have a dream list of things to do or see. Start locally then move out from there. It could be a resources thing. Some people do not want another paying their way.
