If so why do you think that?
Do men get hotter as they age compared to women generally?
If so why do you think that?
No.
Studies have proven physically both genders are at their peak when they're 23 & hit the wall after 30.
The myth that guy's age better is because society doesn't value a man's appearance as much as a woman's. So men don't get faulted as much for aging.
Prime example when guys complain about American women it's about how ugly/fat they are when in reality most Americans are overweight or obese. And more men are overweight or obese than women despite women being predisposed to having more fat.
Plus factor in attraction guys value youth/beauty so while the genders age the same to men a 20 year old girl is hotter than a 40 year old one. While to most women attraction is based on looks as well as other factors not to mention most women prefer older.
I actually agre with udolipixie on this one. Maybe the reason why we think that men don't lose as much as women (in trms of beauty) as they age is because we assume that the male form is not beautiful at all, and that only the female part should be charming, sexy and maginificent.
Surely, that's what the media supports.
Though I don't necessarily agree with her last paragraph, which implies that women DON'T think that youth is correlated with beauty, and only men think so.
No, I don't really see too many hot older guys. I'm in my 20s and I think guys look the best in this age range. I've seen a few handsome older men, but they probably looked way better when they were younger. Contrary to popular saying, no men don't look better with age. Only thing that is better about men with age are their bank accounts.
Hair loss, potbellies, wrinkles, impotence...No I don't think that's as sexy as guys in their 20s. Men and women age about the same. But you can still look good if you take care of yourself, it's just not as common.
yeah, guys age better. in the early years birth to early 20's, girls are hotter, then guys are from mid 20's and upwards. not fair is it?
yeah but then you go for the younger girls. but about those poor woman in their 30's? who do they date?
thanks about BA
I'm in college and already feel the pressure from everyone to find a boyfriend now cause when I get into the so called real world, I won't be able to find a guy. You have no idea how stressful it is to be a girl
you guys are way too harsh
and a bit bitter I might add
i feel like it's more of a revenge thing... :\
It IS easy for older women to find husbands. As long as they are rich. =P
Wait, was that too cynical?
(Just kidding around.)
I know girls who fancy Sean Connery now and as for Richard Gere, he was as ugly as sin in An Officer and a Gentleman but by the time Pretty Woman came out, girls were throwing themselves at him. George Clooney is older than most people on here. Come to think of it, he was older than most people on here when girls started liking him. And, Brad Pitt is nearer to 50 than he is to 45, so I'd have to say that yeah, we age petty.
Depends on genese entirely, the men and women in my family look really good for their age

yes, there have been lots of studies done on this I posted them on another question but I don't care to find the papers again
Yes because beer guts are sexy and the hair that men lose on their head grows on their back is hot. LOL
YES. The men who are like late 20s+ are way more appealing than guys my age and even men up to 50 can still be very attractive but a woman that age is just "aging"..stinks doesn't it
F*** no. That is what the male domionated media will tell you but take it from me you guys get just as ugly as women do as you get older.
you sound pissed off.
troll
Science my ass. LOL Not pissed at all. I find it funny how guys think they get better as they age and then they are lonely because the younger girls don't want them and the women their age are as ugly as they are. The truth hurts boys.
@lightbulb I don't know if that was sarcasm or not but it was still funny.
you still sound pissed off there anonymous ;)
Not at all.
Well, the science "dudeman" mentioned is that a woman can no longer breed after a specific age (a.k.a. menopause), which might be a signal that the woman should stop breeding.
I am not a female-opresor, and I believe in gender equality. (I had to say this before you attacked me too.) However, for some reason, men can breed even when they are 100 years old, as if they are supposed to keep breeding in older ages where a woman shouldn't be.
Underlining AS IF. Again, I believe in gender equality.
I am not attacking anyone on here. The question was do men become hotter as they get older, not can they still reproduce past the time that women can. While men can, the quality of sperm they produce is lessened as they get older, meaning that the possibility of the child having health problems increases as the father the ages. Wrinkles are not any sexier on a man then a women, nor is sagging skin nor grey hair, nor fat, etc. Like it or not the physical appeal of a man goes down with age too.
dudeman I skimmed the Harvard study I did not come across anything that said men become more physically appealing as they get older. It only talked about how men become happier and women less so as we age.The other one said that many women like men their own age to a few years older, a few years older usually means up to five years very rarely does it mean more. Just because men become more interested in younger women when they get older does not mean they are attractive to younger women.
Trust me some women do like older men but the majority don't. That is all I am saying. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't make it any less true. Besides if younger guys like older women as well then I am not going to waste my time on a guy my age when I get older. I just thought I would because I had too. Cougar town here I come.
Id say guys age better, but that's not to say some women don't either
I've seen some pretty hot 40-50 year old women :P
not really, I think it is because women assume men have their life together as the older they get
Yes, and it's totally fair.
