Is it true that unless you’d be proud to introduce someone as your partner or fiancé/fiancée to your inner circle that you shouldn’t commit to them?

A man suggested this to me and I’d never considered that but I thought it sounds wise. Like a good way to sort the wheat from the chaff. Should I be taken that seriously if you’re looking to one day possibly settle down?

If after 6 months of dating, your man has not introduced you to his friends then this is a problem. I understand before he feels really comfortable with you for two reasons.

1. Having been playing soccer with university scholarship I am very familiar how big a horndogs my friends are. When the guys know and are introduced they seem t show up where you are, really friendly, and have their radar on you. This is unacceptable.

2. the second reason is if by some reason you two do not work out they will bust his chops and try to get with you simultaneously.

But yeah, this needs to happen after 6 months of exclusivity. If he was proud and comfortable, it would be done.

I agree, it's very accurate. Because if he brings her around the boys, and it fails, they won't let him live it down. And if he does it often, they may ask him (in front of her) "is this the flavor of the month?" So if a fella is introducing you to the friends, it definitely means something.

Well yeah, I wouldn't even consider dating someone if I wouldn't want my friends to meet and know him.
