Why people don’t understand I don’t want to date?

There was a girl I really liked and things were looking well. Then out of nowhere she ended things between us. It really hurt me and took me 9 months to really get over it. Now people ask me if there is someone new i’d like to get to know or someone I am into. There is no one. They always ask why? and what is wrong? What is so weird about not being into anyone at all and not being interested in anyone. Is it so hard to understand I dont want to date?

Because everyone else is seeking a mate to reproduce with as we are designed too, however, you are not. You are weird to them...

Because THEY do, even if it's not with you. People will always get mad when deviate from the norm in life. And a lot of people will be looking at you and saying to themselves "I'm currently single (not by choice) and I'm not happy, HE CAN'T be happy"! And then they look at it as why do they have to deal with all the pitfalls of dating and you don't THAT'S NOT FAIR! So that's why they get mad.
