Are you in favour or not so much? Why/why not?
+1 yNo issue what so ever.
Interracial? Huh? You do know that what we call race is just a pigment-difference right? The whole racialissue is BS by people trying to put others into groups and simplify things to inhumane degrees.
We should judge per individual not group, that is by definition racism.
As for the faithissue it's more dependant o the individuals willingness and ability to respect ones differences. Unless they're just not all that devote. Many people call themselves religious but are less about the litteral and more about the metaphorical, at that point it's more about viewpoints and it might not be much different than people of different political positions.10 Reply

Interracial isn't a problem, interfaith might be. Main reason is that difference of faith (or lack thereof) means there are differences in Values, doesn't mean it is impossible, but it'll be a hurdle for the couple and their immediate family.
Frankly, I don't care, I've dated women outside my race and of different faiths and the latter had some hurdles but with proper discussion, it could be overcome.

+1 yInterracial is no object, We are all human and came about our races through regional adaptations. Moses was the first to test the waters of marriage outside his faith. I believe that if you overlay a map of Midia with Ethiopia you will find that they are much the same. Zipporah was black, Moses' sister Miriam took exception to her brother's wife's color and chastised Moses. Miriam developed Leprosy Zipporah circumcised her son with a flint blade. He was their first born. and would have died during the last plague if he was not under the covenant. Zipporah was the first to receive a direct order to get married from God. Hosea was the second and Joseph was the last. If you are considering religion as a reason to avoid relationships, keep in mind that God created us from dust and clay, the same for everyone. Secondly, Christianity,, Judaism, and Islam worship the God of Abraham. Hinduism and Buddhism do not. Remember faith is just that. It is a belief in something that cannot be proven. Not something to use as justification for killing of treating others indignantly.
10 ReplyThere is a girl I know who was raised a Southern Baptist. She married a VERY devout Catholic man. The man actually went through the process of getting the approval of a highly-placed Bishop before they got married. She respects his faith and will take the children to MASS and other church functions if he is not able to do so. The children are being raised Catholic but both have agreed that when they become of age they will respect the choices the children make in life. Also, during LENT her husband has been known to lose 15 to 20 pounds because of his fasting. Because she does not observe LENT will take her meals in a way that does not cause him problems. Her husband had to make a statement that he would remove any and all dangers of him leaving the Church before the Bishop would approve the marriage. How do I feel? In all honesty, I don't care. I am the same way with race. People are getting way too hung up on these matters. I am a white male and have dated many black as well as Asian females in my lifetime. I also have VERY LIMITED patience for people that put way too much emphasis on racial issues. I WILL NOT explain that last sentence!

+1 yI've done that. It was a little hard but for what it's worth, I wasn't a hardcore Catholic to begin with, so it really didn't make too much difference. And unfortunately, none of my past relationships, except for one, I would say, was serious enough or heading towards marriage and kids, for it to have had a real impact.
I remember a couple from church in the 90's. They started a family and I watched their family grow. The woman was Jewish and the man was a Catholic. In the end though, I think the woman converted to Catholicism. Maybe for their children's sake? I don't really know. But it was interesting to watch. I don't think they attended mass every week.
10 ReplyI am secular so I don't care that much about religion, but it also depends on who with who.

10 ReplyWell I was told being a dark Dominican and being with a Colombian or El Salvadoran girl with fair or whitish skin isn’t interracial. Well I do have a brother and sister is have whitish texture but I’m dark.
To answer your question I love it, only a racist is against it10 Reply955 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I find enough attractive men in my own race and guys who think too much about religion are very likely not compatible with me anyway.

+1 yInterracial, no issue.
Interfaith, depends upon the faiths involved. A Taoist and a Unitarian would probably stand a better chance than a Shia and a conservative Presbyterian, for example.11 Reply- +1 y

I think dating someone who doesn't share the same faith would be messy and a bit hard. But dating someone of a different race is fine.

30 ReplyInterracial relationships are only an issue if you let it be one. I've been in several Interracial relationships and it's never been an issue. Interfaith can work aslong as you are both opened and accepting of eachother's beliefs
