Why did my partner disapprove of my saying happy mother's day to my friends?

Recently I put up a picture saying happy mother's day to all my friends with children or furbabies. I don't have either and my furbaby recently passed away.
I've been ill for many years and I've kind of accepted motherhood isn't in my cards. However my partner accused me of being *woke* I just don't see how by saying something nice to all my friends. I don't get how what I said was woke?

A lot of people that are unable to have children of their own "adopt" a cat or a dog as a substitute child. That is a perfectly acceptable way to show that you care.

Now, I don't have much understanding for a person that cannot accept the fact that some people of both gender are not able, not willing or prevented to have children. The fact alone is sad enough without having a person that is supposed to be close and to support you to stab you in the back by making such statement.

If fur babies are what make you happy because you consider them as an integral part of the family, then by all means, don't let yourself be told otherwise. If it makes you happy to wish your friends happy mother's day, then he has no business to take this pleasure away from you.

It could have been because he felt a little jealous and envious of those that can have children. He should understand that for you this has a great meaning rather than to make fun of your challenge.
