My mom loves me and I’ve set boundaries. Any woman I date has to understand that’s an ongoing thing I deal with. 🤷‍♂️ can’t cut her off.

I guess if someone is overboard and doesn't have healthy boundaries set with their mom, it will be a problem. But showing that you care about your mom and doing good things for her is a great thing though. Our moms won't always be with us. I lost my mom last year and I'm glad that I did things for her. I'd have deep regrets if I hadn't.
