Do you care if you're forgotten after you die?

I'm already forgotten pretty much, lol. The town I'm in right now, I've only lived here for 5 months. I don't know anybody. My family is either dead or live far away. I have no friends. Last year I was diagnosed with diabetes. My blood sugar was 1,462 when I was diagnosed. I spent 2, 3 weeks in the hospital.

My blood sugar drops all the time. If my diabetes isn't causing me some sort of problem, my asthma is. I'm a gonner anyway.

The only thing that does bother me, I'm a writer and it would be nice to be remembered for one of my novels, that's if I ever get the courage to publish one. I think I'm cursed, so I don't even try at anything anymore with all my bad luck.

i'll probably be forgotten. People tend ot ignore me because they want their Sin instead of what God wants.

I was trying to explain to this atheist how to prove there was a God earlie rtoday on MSN, and instead of discussing things like the intellectual he claimed to be, he kept mocking God by quoting Odin stories over and over and pretty much ignoring my scientific arguments.

That's my point on this blog sometimes. People do not care what the Truth is, even the ones who claim to believe in God don't seem to care what is right hand wrong or true.

I will probably be forgotten because everyone ignores me anyway.

I don’t care to be remembered, as much as I wish to be KNOWN.

A lot of people remember Christopher Columbus, but nobody really knows him… A lot of people remember Albert Einstein.. but no one really knew him.

Who cares about memory. Recognition is key- and with that said:

I don’t care to be remembered because I have lived a life with little recognition, so I would not be any grieved than what I could have been in my youth here. Also, once I am gone, I will not feel anything. Any sadness or so. So any insults of this life will be astronomically trivial.

Yes I would. I have sacrificed so many important life turning opportunities for my academics and family (let me tell you that I'm not studying for myself at all. I don't like to study. My future career, music and writing, doesn't require the academic field. I'm doing it all to keep my parents content, I force myself to study really well so I can make my parents happy). It would hurt a lot if my family and friends forget about me after death, of course I don't want them to grieve but I do want them to remember me. I know I'm worthy for it.

Your point is to do something extraordinary with your life and leave a lasting legacy and imprint on the world, in some way shape or form.
Not just to be remembered by family and friends.

I will not be forgotten.
I have and will continue to touch those who I have special encountered.
for one, my children…future grandchildren children will continue the legacy we created. They will continue this legacy with my guidance.
same goes for those whom I have met and I remember them for giving me the opportunity to be who I have become.
we are all connected in some ways.

I do not care in the slightest, all things that come to a start must come to a end aswell. You are able to control yourself and what you think, it is utterly useless & a waste of time to try and do the same with others. I wish to bring as much happiness and greatness to this world of ours as i can, but if i die let it be. I worry about death as not feeling things towards death is unhumane and is a risk in itself, but death smiles at us all in the end all you can do is smile back. 🙃

I'm by no means "beta" (whatever the hell that is even supposed to mean), but I would certainly rather be completely forgotten than known the world over for having started a world war that killed at least 60 million people. Everyone who is remembered is misremembered... Society is always rewriting history. So if you want to be remembered, basically all you are shooting for is for people to lie about you somewhere down the road. The longer time passes, the bigger the lie gets. People gossiping and smearing your name for eternity isn't a good thing.

Yes but, I've done at least SOMETHING to keep that from completely happening. I've done two albums with my band, helped write 5 books, did voice work in movies and made a couple comedy singles... so far! I've got 3 other books of my own in the works and hope to start another solo album, soon and get back into voice acting.

It is natural.
A lot depends on your age, if you have family left, but at some point, you will just be another headstone in a cemetery with a date on it.
If you have a fairly large family and history is important to them then they might at least know the name.
A lot of my family is buried in an old small cemetery, so after I visit my mom & dad I go over to where they are buried, my sister does that too, and a few of my cousins as well, but once we are gone that will pretty much be it.

So I attended a funeral a few weeks ago for someone I didn’t know that well. I watched as people who were close cried & showed remorse.

Hour later at the reception everyone is chatting & the tears have stopped. To me it seemed like people had already accepted it and were moving on.

I felt like thats it? Some tears, hugs & ok time to go.
