Do you care what happens to your body after you die?

Would you be upset if you knew your wishes wouldn't be respected, such as you being cremated instead of buried next to a loved one (or vice versa)?

Or if you were an organ donor but the cause of your death made your organs unusable, so nothing "good" came of your death?

Even further, what if your body was desecrated somehow, or preserved as a spectacle, rather than being quietly laid to rest?

Obviously at the time any of this happened, you wouldn't care. But would it upset you now to know that something you wouldn't choose to happen will happen to your body, and there's nothing you can do about it?

I think about this sometimes. I've planned to be cremated—partly because of cost and space, but partly because I don't like the idea of anything happening to my body after I'm out of it. I want it burned and ground up and scattered so it goes away too.
