My boyfriend discussed my cleaning technique with his mom and is going to use another method?

This annoyed me a little. His windows are dirty and I was explaining how he could clean them. He told me he discussed it with his mom and she has a different method. I’m pretty sure he’s going to use her method to clean them.

Should I just ignore this or is it a red flag?

In this case it’s pretty surface level, but could also indicate he doesn’t value your opinions? I would wait to see if this sort of thing is a reoccurring behaviour in other circumstances.
