Do we naturally take a likeness to people who are more like us? Is it wrong to be this way?

tI’m asking because my brother has had many girlfriends. His current girlfriend is quiet and to herself. She doesn’t like drama and she really only communicates with my brother and not me or the rest of the family but I’m still cool with his ex girlfriend because she is the complete opposite of her. She’s more like me and the rest of the family. Shed’s loud, energetic, outgoing. She enjoys drinking. She enjoys drama, gossiping sort of enjoys being messy as well. Those aren’t the best personality traits in the world but her traits aligned more with who I am and the rest of the family while his current girlfriend seems to not fit in. Is it wrong that I prefer the ex girlfriend over the current one? Considering in my opinion, she’s more like able in the sense I can actually have a conversation and good time with her.
