Is She Secretly Jealous?

We both musicians. She kind of mentored me into it and got me my first gig. I got a standing ovation that day and noticed she wasn't happy but ignored it.

Afterward I quit music to focus on work FOR A LONG TIME. She never asked me why. I was always supporting her shows by attending.

Then I met my fiance who stumbled on my demos and encouraged me to start.

From the moment I did, releasing my track, she stopped liking my posts and is cold to me and don't respond to my comments on hers. She also ignored my birthday. Didn't like a single pic. Yet I still showed her love on her birthday but she was still kind of cold.

Do you guys think I should confront or just forget about her and move on? My Fiance believes she's jealous & I should forget about her. Is he right?

Your fiance is absolutely right. She is 100% jealous and does exactly like the quote says: "Pay close attention to people who don't clap for you when you win." She could say whatever she wanted to make you think otherwise, but actions will always prevail over words, and she's showing that.

You could say something to her about it if you want, but I would warn against it for the reason that it will satisfy her because it means you took note of all the things she wanted you to notice, and she wanted those things to bother you. So yes, completely ignore her and do no contact. Maybe one day she'll get over it and want to be a true friend.

It really doesn't matter what she is what matters is who you are you can still keep giving good wishes good thoughts because that's who you are you don't need anything in return you don't need her friendship just keep being you you don't give her good wishes because you want them in return you give them to her because you want to because that's the way you feel and that's a beautiful thing but she does is what she does and if she does not understand what she does one day she will what is too late probably but you just keep me and yourself be happy be creative and enjoy life

Well if not jealous she has some other negative emotion going on and you can do without that.

Sounds like you have quite a good Fiance and he's right. The only thing to consider is whether to switch off abruptly or taper off gradually over a period. Wouldn't surprise me if she makes herself a victim over your neglect of her. Possibly tapering down might isolate you from that. But if you have the guts to tell her she is no friend do it.
