Why cheat on your partner instead of breaking up?

I know some people who do it, both genders.
I want honest answers only, not answers you think other people would agree with.

because you may want to be with your partner but you are sexually attracted to someone else, just that or even more than your partner. Your parner may be great to date but other person may be better for sex yet not great as partner. So people are selfish and want their cake and eat it too. Also you may want to have your parnter as option cause you dont know will this other person work for you anyways. You may also want to be with many people sexually but have someone you come home to. None of this is moral or good, im just saying how it is, i have never cheated.
