To me, holding onto your maiden name is like holding onto your singleness. It’s impossible. You’re either single or married. You can’t be both. But hey, I’m old fashioned so I have no problem giving up my maiden name. When I get married, my maiden name will go bye bye right along with me singleness. Of course, I’ll still be me, but I want to be a united front with my husband. 😊
I doubt many women care what you think about it. Its the forming of a new family and signifying the new relationship. My wife will take my last name.
