Could you settle for having only one child if your partner didn’t want more then that?

I want two-4 kids but my partner only wants one and she barely agrees to that. She wants to be more and have fun as a married couple first and says doesn’t feel like dealing with cps or all the money that comes with having 2-4 kids. Should I just argee to one kid and hope she wants more in the future? Could you settle for just one child? I feel it sucks being a single child

This is a bit complicated. As much as this advice might sound harsh, if having 2 or more kids is really important to you, I don't think you should continue dating her. However, if you feel like you cannot give up your relationship, well then, you might have to find a common ground and agree with her. I do not think it is a wise idea for you to keep hoping that she might change her mind one day. A lot of child free people/those who do not want many kids are not fickle minded and do not change their mind often. If you continue dating her in hopes that she might change her mind one day, you're in for a huge disappointment. You might start resenting her one day and that will severely affect your relationship.

Personally that would never work for me, and fortunately hasn't, as we have our two most precious children that we agreed long ago.

At this rate, if I even had one biological kid it would be a miracle LOL (for multiple reasons including my age). If I met someone who wanted to adopt kids, and wanted to adopt 3 or 4, I would do it.
