I think any kid is better then no kid at all and multiple kids are great when they grow up, but as young children who are young, they demand more effort and labour than having fewer kids. When you are older, having more kids mean easier retirement.

When I was younger, I wanted as many as four but now if I was even able to have just one I'd be happy.
