Personally I think people that call themselves "friend" or "boy/girlfriend" that abandon someone else after a terrible accident as vermin. Moralless, unethical and bluntly put trash.

I would because I'm not their caretaker or their maid. If you cannot live normally and need assistance to continue on, it won't be from me. I'd expect the same if I was in that position.
