+1 yI'm afraid the Technology took it Ahead of Us, no more chance for us now, its easier to see a piece of ass a boob with.. FB, insta, twitter, OF pages, Cupid, and all that shite, everything is "virtual" these days even the "thoughts, touched, ideas, sex, chemistry, desire", so i guess soon even the "air" will be virtual.🤷♂️

u +1 yDefine "true love."
00 Reply 3.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Everyone has ALWAYS expected something in return, because a lot is expected OF YOU when you are in a relationship. The problem is that a lot of people today think they are entitled to getting everything they want (which is already a huge problem) without having to give anything back or providing any value in return. That's NEVER how relationships have ever worked.
A relationship - at least one that has any chance of lasting - is a PARTNERSHIP, where BOTH people's needs and desires have to be taken into consideration, and where NO ONE is going to get everything they want - BUT, both people should also get MORE than they would alone. BOTH people should expect to have to sacrifice things, but both should also get help when they really need it, and have nice things done for them from time to time too. Like everything in life, there is a trade-off, and you don't get to have it all.
What's changed is that lots of people are selfish - they not only WANT it all, but they EXPECT to have it all, and feel entitled to have it, even when they give nothing in return. That's why relationships are on a steep decline - far too many people are selfish, and they're chasing a lifestyle (likely one they'll never get) instead of prioritizing on a relationship that likely would have actually improved their lifestyle over time - just perhaps not immediately.
There are still people in the world who prioritize relationships, but you have to select a partner based primarily on their morals, values, and life-goals, and NOT primarily on their looks, status, income, or popularity, as most people do with disastrous results. In fact, most people go out of their way to avoid even learning about their partner's morals, values, and life-goals, because they don't want to find out that their good-looking, popular, high-status crush is in fact a horrible person - they want to avoid having any reason NOT to be with that person, because they're attractive. But that's how lives get ruined.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yNo. I KNOW I've completely given up. I don't even associate with females at all, unless they're immigrants. Not because of being bad looking or uneducated... none of that. It's because my situation wasn't what it is now, and it's about to be a lot better. And for years... forget about relationships, I couldn't even get COMMON BASIC HUMAN COURTESY in public from females, no matter how much I volunteered, gave back to those in need, sacrificed, showed courtesy to, it didn't matter. NOW... all of a sudden, I'm self employed, travel the country, zip around on my moped, all new gear, everything paid for, and about to pay off a 24 foot motorhome to go tour the Rockies, and guess what? I get them asking me questions, wanting to "get to know me." Take a FN hike, that time is OVER. You see, females have it all wrong... guys DO CARE ABOUT HOW WE GET TREATED. And females for the last several years, showed they don't give a SHIT ABOUT THAT. What they care about is WHAT I HAVE NOW... AND WHAT THEY CAN GET. So the answer to your question, is no.

+1 yTo be in love is to enter a mutual benefiting relationship with another person, there’s always something to gain / want. It’s about negotiating and compromises on both sides of the agreement. True love can only bloom if there is a stable foundation between two people

+1 yWait, you want exclusively selfish "love"?
Uh, yeah, that's being a mooch, not having someone who truly loves you.
Of course loving relationships have a give and take. Every relationship does. It's healthy.
It's unhealthy to want "true love" in return for shit all. At the least wanting to support the person you love is... Like... Healthy.10 Reply 498 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I´d say yes it just takes more time and patience because at the end of the day many people would love to have a relationship so I say there is still hope. Because expectations nowadays seem high it might take time to find the right person. I think what would help if people dated longer so they would get to know each other better before they entered a relationship.

+1 yyes you can still find "true love" out there. it's always difficult to find a partner. it should be right? in the billions of people finding that person who you find attractive, have a good connection/chemistry, etc, etc should be a bit difficult. but yes you can find love out there. happens every day

+1 yYea for sure, but that would require you to detect and know when to let go on red flags, many people ignore red flags that show intentions so it's best to detect them and avoid them, if you aren't blindly giving your heart to everyone then you can expect to run into true love at some point
00 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't want much, just love from a woman who is kind, honest, has common sense, not a psycho or on psych meds, does not make poor life decisions, has never been addicted to hard drugs, and is not trying to spend what little money I have on stupid shit like $1000 purses

+1 y''True Love'' ?
You mean as in: Disney movies?
Actually: we never could. Because it's just a romantic fictional concept.
First invented in the medieval times, and later commercialized by various industries.

+1 yYes we can 100%... but its gonna take work and giving them what they want when we find a good partner. Otherwise we can swipe left and move through dozens upon dozens in our lifetime and never find the one for us

+1 yTrue love doesn’t exist people just seek for someone that they have sexual attraction to and chemistry. If you’re not sexually attractive to most then chances of ‘love’ or relationship is very slim

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yOf course it's possible. But most people want to take and not give. Most people are not realistic. Most people are very selfish.
So while it's possible Most people will not find it. Just a toxic version of it.

00 Reply 4.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Most relationships, if not all are transactional now. This is not love.

Absolutely correct.💯

I don't believe in altruism. I enjoy your company. Keeping you around benefits me by providing me companionship. Oversimplified, but still, there's some utility to gain from the person or why are they there? If you want to provide nothing in return then the logistics of life become difficult.
